FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On-Q/Legrand Releases New Energy-Saving Keypad

Harrisburg, PA, March 11, 2008 -

On-Q/Legrand, the leader in Home Systems, announced today the launch of its newly redesigned lyriQ™ Amplified Keypad.  The updated keypad offers energy-conscious green features, including a Class D amplifier and a sleep mode, making the device both energy and cost efficient.

The improved keypad design utilizes a high-performance Class D amplifier rather than a Class A/B amplifier. Replacing the amplifier allows the volume control to run at a lower temperature while delivering maximum power to attached devices.  In addition, if the keypad does not receive audio input after 20 minutes, the amplifier automatically disables and enters sleep mode.  The new keypad saves 50 percent in energy consumption.

“By redesigning the standard keypad, we can provide our customers with better overall value in their multi-room audio system,” said Christine Filowiak, Audio Product Manager for On-Q/Legrand.  “The combination of the Class D amplifier, the sleep mode, and the enhanced features translates into cost savings for both the homeowner and the installer.”

In addition to its green features, the lyriQ Keypad offers ruggedized, noise-resistant IR circuitry; new installer setup features; and an RJ45 connection.  The additional features save installers time setting up and troubleshooting audio systems.  The improved IR circuitry removes errant signals, making the keypad more resistant to common inference issues caused by sunlight and fluorescent lights.  By including new setup features and an RJ45 connection, installers can conveniently preconfigure settings as well as test the device.

While thefeatures enhance the functionality of the device, the keypad provides the same ease of use of the standard lyriQ Amplified Keypad, allowing homeowners to conveniently control the distribution and volume of Cat 5-based audio in one or multiple zones of the home.

The new lyriQ Amplified Keypad will be available in the second quarter of 2008.
