Its Power over Ethernet design requires only a single Cat 5e cable for both power and data, making installation simple. It features an 802.11g wireless local area network that is backwards compatible to 802.11b, with data rates up to 54 Mbps. The booster antenna provides maximum coverage by enhancing the signal both indoors and outdoors. Advanced security features include the most secure wireless encryption. It also allows wireless connectivity to PDAs and to bridges that enable connectivity with printers, gaming systems, DVRs and other devices that integrate into a network. The On-Q Wireless Access Point features a sleek, unobtrusive design that blends in with any decor, and may also be painted for a seamless appearance. Because it is mounted into the ceiling, it eliminates exposed wires and gear that consume valuable surface space. And its signal consistently passes from one Wireless Access Point to another with no additional programming to accommodate larger home installations.
